Celebrating its 21st year, AMSI Summer School is Australia’s biggest annual national event for honours and postgraduate students in the mathematical sciences.
Connect with peers, researchers and potential future employers while developing your mathematical skills. You can even take a subject for credit!
In 2023, the University of Melbourne will host a hybrid school with the first two weeks on campus followed by two weeks delivered virtually (virtual participation for all four weeks also available).
The AMSI Summer School 2023 program offers eight carefully selected subjects taught by expert lecturers from Australia and abroad. Participants can study one or two subjects, and with permission from a home university, students can use an AMSI Summer School subject to gain credit towards their degree.
The School is open to honours and postgraduate students in the mathematical sciences and cognate disciplines, as well as early career researchers and industry professionals looking to upskill.
AMSI Summer School travel grants are available to assist students from AMSI member universities with the cost of travel and accommodation. Female, First Nations and regional, rural and remote students are encouraged to apply.
