Application Process
To apply for AMSI Summer School 2023 you must submit

STEP 1
Application Form
- Takes approx. 10-15 minutes to complete
- Requires applicants to supply contact details of an honours/postgraduate coordinator and/or Head of School who can confirm the applicant’s suitability for Summer School and discuss their academic record if needed.
- Requires applicants to nominate subject preferences.
Submission of an application does not guarantee a place at AMSI Summer School. For more information, please see the ‘Acceptance’ section below.
STEP 2
Payment
Once the application form has been completed, you will be redirected to the University of Melbourne payment page. School fees are a flat rate whether choosing to study one or two subjects. Your application will not be completed or considered until payment has been made.
If your application is unsuccessful, a full refund of the School fees will be provided

Reimbursements
Some universities reimburse students their Summer School registration fee. Contact your masters/honours coordinator or Head of Department to see if you are eligible for a reimbursement.
Refunds
Applicants who wish to withdraw their application must contact coordinator_rhed@amsi.org.au.
Refunds of the School fee will be provided for withdrawals received up until 27 November 2022. Withdrawals after this time may not be eligible for a refund.
Who can access AMSI Member rates?
- Staff currently employed at AMSI Member institutions
- Students currently enrolled at AMSI Member institutions
- Retirees who have a current AustMS membership

STEP 3
Acceptance
AMSI Summer School applications are accepted at the discretion of the Event Director. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application via email within two weeks of applications closing.
Successful applicants must confirm acceptance of their offer, following the instructions provided in the notification email by the due date.
